At the initiative of the National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, the Initiative Group was created for the elaboration and implementation of a National Information and Communication Campaign at national level, to be carried out during the state of emergency with the contribution of civil society organizations, mass institutions. -media, opinion leaders, thematic experts and communication specialists.
The #StopWar Civic Campaign Initiative Group (initial generic name) is currently developing a Campaign Plan that will focus on three objectives:
- Promoting solidarity with Ukraine by encouraging people to help refugees.
- Promoting pro-peace messages among the population of the entire country of the Republic of Moldova to counter pro-war propaganda and false news and, at the same time, to build more cohesion in society.
- Avoiding the spread of panic and encouraging the population to remain calm and well informed from reliable sources, including through actions to combat misinformation.
