The Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup,” in collaboration with the Eastern Europe Studies Centre in Vilnius, is pleased to invite independent journalists and media outlets to participate in an online workshop dedicated to the topic of combating disinformation in Moldova, as part of the project “Building Strategic Communication to Counter Russian Disinformation in Moldova.”

This online event will take place on May 3rd, 10.00-12.30 (GMT+3). This event is part of a series of six workshops where specialized experts from Moldova, Lithuania, and EU agencies will share their knowledge with journalists, stakeholders, and the expert community on the “Platform for Strategic Communication to Counter Russian Disinformation in Moldova.”

• The first online workshop is open to journalists and will consist of a discussion on the fundamentals of strategic communication and its practical application in daily journalistic activities. Additionally, case studies on the investigation of Russia-related disinformation in Moldova will be presented. 
• During the event, journalists will have the opportunity to interact with Mr. Denis Cenusa, Associate Expert at the Eastern Europe Studies Centre and Program Director at Expert-Grup, as well as Mrs. Cornelia Cozonac, Director of the Centre of Investigative Journalism and Anticoruptie.md.
• The workshop discussion will take place in Romanian.

Project Details:The online workshops are part of the project titled “Building Strategic Communication to Counter Russian Disinformation in Moldova.” The project runs from September 2023 to December 2024 and is implemented by “Expert-Grup” in partnership with the Eastern Europe Studies Centre in Vilnius, with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.
