The Independent Think-Tank ”Expert-Grup” and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection in partnership with the Soros Moldova Foundation invite you to the closing event of the project "Technical assistance to the Government and Parliament on promoting policies for just recovery and economic justice”: activities, lessons learned and ways forward which will take place on March 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., location: Hotel Jolly Alon, 37 Maria Cebotari Street, Chisinau.
The purpose of the event is to present the main results and lessons learned within the project, but also to discuss the policies and mechanisms necessary to alleviate the problem of informal employment and make employment policies more efficient. The discussions will aim, in particular, to improve the services offered by the National Agency for Employment in order to make the intermediation between the demand and the supply on the labor market more efficient, but also to consolidate and ensure the notoriety of the institution. At the same time, the main results in advancing the reform of the State Labor Inspectorate (SLI) will also be discussed. The need to reform of the National Agency for Employment and SLI is a priority both on the Government's agenda and in the strategic planning documents. During the event, the study on the monitoring and evaluation framework (M&E) of the State Labor Inspectorate's performance, developed by the Expert-Grup, will be presented.
The event will bring together high-level representatives from public institutions, international organizations, the private sector and national and international experts with expertise and interest in this field. The working languages will be Romanian and English, with simultaneous interpretation provided.
