This study aims to assess the current situation of trade relations in the region in the area of tourism, to establish the main tourists' flows managed by Moldovan operators and their European partners and to formulate recommendations for improving these relations. The EU-Moldova Actions Plan treats the tourism sector as part of the industrial policy dialogue and of the association of Moldova to the EU's competitiveness initiatives. This fact correlates with the general interests of the state to develop the tourism sector so that this transforms into competitive industry and contributes to the diversification of the national economy.
