Main activities:
The project general objective is to prepare a Study on labour market for the Republic of Moldova, which will serve as a basis for the development of new employment policies and measures, including for vulnerable groups, by concluding on the current status of the labour market of the Republic of Moldova and draft a study that will reflect evidence-based findings.
The study encompasses the following components: (i) the current situation on the labor market, (ii) an analysis of unemployment vs. Occupation rate, (iii) estimates on the labor deficit on the market (based on primary and secondary data) (iv) labor forecasts, (v) possible risks for the labour market and gaps between supply and demand, (vi) Analysis of opportunity on liberalizing the access of the foreign labour force to the Moldovan market and the conclusions and recommendations on future policies and measures, aimed at optimising the labour market shortages and reduce existing gaps.
Project impact:
The study represents a key contribution for decision makers in what concerns the future labor market policies. The study provides a highly content relevant analysis that will serve as a source of important evidences for the public authorities, the business, citizens and civil society organisations and more relevant, for the business environment, in terms of the deficit on the labour market from the Republic of Moldova for drafting evidence-based public policy documents that are respondent to actual country needs, including for vulnerable groups.
