Period for implementation: October 2017 – March 2018
Project scope: The project aims at monitoring Moldova’s energy sector, raising the public awareness regarding energy-related reforms and increasing the understanding of the evolution in the sector within the donor community and among the European decision makers.
Key activities:
- Monitoring the energy sector in Moldova and flagging the major issues that requires to be solved.
- Three local debates in Chisinau, Balti and Comrat with citizens, both Romanian and Russian-speaking, aimed at discussing with citizens and explaining why there is a need in energy reforms. Additionally, the local debates have the goal to collect people’s concerns that the publications and the final report will also reflect.
Key deliverables:
- Two short policy briefs and early warnings when major developments take place in energy sector.
- A report in English on the main energy issues in Moldova in the period October 2017 – March 2018 and citizens’ feedback, which will be presented to the relevant decision-makers in Brussels.
